Responsibilities Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Enters appropriate data in proper computer systemDetermines method of shipment that complies with established policies and procedures and customer specificationsCoordinate with Freight Company for shipments too large for parcel pickupAffixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartonsAssembles and/or selects reassembled containersStamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containersPosts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postageUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, reports damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.Distributes items to appropriate individual and/or areaExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer requirements Qualifications

3+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driver historyMust be detail oriented

Education and/or Experience:                                    

Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
