Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk Location: Clarksville, TN Shift: 1st Shift   If you are good at what you do, you can work anywhere.  If you are the best at what you do, come join our Team! We are looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk to work with our team in the receiving, storage and movement of incoming supplies and outgoing finished product.  This may include several different aspects – Yearbooks, Distribution Center, School Annual, Memory Books and Sales Samples.  The incumbent verifies that materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to the appropriate departments/locations.  Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records.  Determines the best method of shipment according to shipping procedures, routes and rates.  Performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks including warehouse job duties, if assigned.  May direct others or guide the work of shipping and receiving team members performing related work.
  Qualifications: High School Degree or GED required. 3+ years of Shipping/Receiving experience. Good computer skills required. Good communication skills - written and verbal. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to communicate well with outside vendors involving logistics. Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice. Works well under the pressure of deadlines. Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology. Must be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision. Experience with UPS Worldship, Pitney Bowes equipment, and Oracle based shipping systems. Knowledge of International Customs requirements for international and cross border shipments. Must have good overall knowledge of commercial shipping. Must have Forklift experience and be able to pass Forklift and Pallet Jack certification w/Jostens. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Excellent attendance record a must.
