Hexcel is currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for our Amesbury, MA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Execute the shipping/receiving of products inclusive of material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinatingManage shipping/receiving activities through proper coordination with operations, sales/marketing, and qualityShip Hazardous Materials in compliance with DOT, IATA & IMDG regulationsReview Shipping Tables to ensure that all requirements are metMake shipping arrangements, contacting Freight Forwarders, carriers, etc. to schedule pick-ups and transportationExecuting and shipping manufactured products at the Amesbury location, including material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinating

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required1+ years related experience and/or trainingBasic computer skills to include the functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable programsUnderstanding of an MRP system; Microsoft AX exposure is preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employeesDemonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak to and coordinate distinctly with different work groupsExperience with UPS and FedEx Ship applications preferredDemonstrate self-motivation with excellent interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and good organization skills.Must have the ability to be trained and certified to ship hazardous materials, both domestically and internationallyAbility to deal with problems and come to a viable solution, including knowing when and how to escalate issues as necessary.
