Supervisory Capacity: No Supervisory Responsibilities
· Prepare necessary paperwork to accompany outbound shipments and perform the required computer transactions toensure that inventory is properly received and located.
· Print load sheets for full truckloads. Assign load numbers to all outbound shipments. Document information about loads and store shipping records in an appropriate location according to the corporate record retention guidelines.
· Evaluate and select optimized shipping solution for each request; prepares shipment / labels; track and trace shipment to point of delivery and engage in problem resolution. Communicate to requestor shipment status and where problem resolution support is required.
· Support complex ad hoc (non-standard) shipments. These shipmentsinvolve expensive, one-of-a-kind tooling/equipment/packaging/parts/raw material that support engineering and critical launch needs using various freight modes (ocean, international air, parcel, specialized flatbeds, hazmat and YFAI consolidation network).
· Liaise with logistics procurement, logistics operations and customs compliance for unusual / complex shipments thatinvolve specialized equipment / handling and customs regulations. This involves all international shipments, third party to third party shipments and shipments into countries where YFAI has no legal presence.
· Unload all incoming materials, suppliers and packaging, as necessary.
· Inspect all incoming freight and documentation for accuracy and acceptability.
· Generate NCMR for nonconforming material from suppliers and notify quality department. · Store all materials, supplies and packaging in proper locations.
· Coordinate inbound and outbound freight pickups/deliveries with freight companies.
· Pull outbound product and stage no less than 30 minutes prior toshipment.
· Must have basic knowledge of all policies and Quality systems involved in Shipping & Receiving, especially the Quality Policy.
· Communicate any product shortage potentials to Customer Service and Operations prior to missed shipments.
· Ensure plant safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
· Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.

Required Education Level: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge):
1 -3 Years of Experience as Shipping/Receiving Clerk Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry
· Demonstrated work experience with computer software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Internet, Word, Excel, and office databases.
· Must be able to be moderately proficient with the use of a keyboard and/or PC. Moderate typing skills and basic math skills required.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such asdiscounts, percentages, and volume.
· Ability to solve practical problemsand deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. · Valid driver’s license and passing grade on Power Industrial Truck test.
Preferred Qualifications(Experience Level, Skills, Know ledge):
· Prefer candidate with some college coursework.
· Prefer candidate with experience in amanufacturing environment.

Work Environment:
Personal protective equipment is required Work is indoor in a warehouse setting that may not be temperature controlled. Must be able to match the pace of work to the speed of equipment Often exposed to distracting sounds and noisy conditions Works closelywith others, perhaps within a foot of another person.
EHS and Quality Requirements:
☒ Technicians/Operators of High Risk Equipment must be certified before operating (forklift, overhead crane, etc)
