Shipping Receiving Coordinator
**Job Description:** + ITW Food Equipment Group, Weigh & Wrap Division is seeking a Shipping Receiving Coordinator for our Hillsboro facility. This position performs a variety of warehouse duties under general supervision including pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping, and material handling. Uses ERP system and operates hand and power equipment for material handling to move product throughout facility. Experience + 1-2 years shipping/receiving or work experience in a manufacturing environment Skills/Abilities + Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook + Effective oral and written communication + Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adjust workflow based on business needs + Flexibility with schedule to meet critical deadlines + Ability to work independently + Working knowledge of parts/application for use + Basic math/measuring skills Preferred Qualifications + Vantage/ Epicor experience/ knowledge, UPS shipping software knowledge + Forklift certification + Understanding of MRD application and Kan Ban/ 2 bin system and differentiation of expense items compared to inventory parts, cycle counting procedures Responsibilities (80% Core Essential Functions) + Receive incoming products and materials, inspect, confirm/file certificate of conformance, and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation to the system (Vantage, Epicor) + Puts away incoming materials and stocks production lines + Prepares and expedites shipments, warehouse or direct, including banding/ shrink wrapping, creating bills of lading, preparing and affixing shipping labels if required, entry of shipping data into applicable computer system (Vantage, Epicor, UPS Software) + Inventory maintenance responsibility up to/including system updates of incoming parts, cycle counting and reporting, Kan Ban set-up and maintenance, back-flushing inventory or updating records upon shipping + Attention to detail – ensures accuracy in shipping/receiving documentation, ensure materials and are delivered to correct areas, ensure entries to Vantage & Epicor or other inventory functions are updated correctly, understands the correlation between inventory entry and financial impact, discovers or anticipates issues and communicates appropriately + Communicates effectively/ utilizes teamwork with appropriate cross-functional personnel, including management, accounting, purchasing, assembly, engineering, customer service, service, warehouse, etc. Communicate with outside vendors in person, over the phone or via email for purposes related to shipping/receiving, including scheduling and problem/issue resolution. + Audit incoming materials as required for correct piece counts per requirements, inspect materials if applicable, involve engineering when necessary + File and maintain all required documents, understand document retention requirements and disposition + Adherence to safety standards including, but not limited to, forklift inspection/maintenance, work-area housekeeping, and safe loading/unloading of semi- trailers and storage racks Responsibilities (20% Department-specific Core Essential Functions) + Unpacks, examines and routes RMA’s, rejects damaged items, documents. Processes all defective parts or equipment for replacement or credit + Assist/train other employees in understanding the Kan Ban process, correct usage and processes + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout workday + Maintains clean work area and assists with cardboard recycling + Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements / Working Conditions + Manufacturing, non-air conditioned environment. + PPE required: Steel toe shoes and eye protection. Based on job duties the following PPE could be required: Ear protection, gloves, sleeves, or other. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands and arms and walk frequently. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
