What would you do as our Shipping / Receiving Coordinator?
You’ll play a vital role in managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and optimizing warehouse operations.
You will also:
Coordinate Shipments: Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and timely deliveries.
Manage Inventory: Track stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and assist in inventory control.
Process Documentation: Accurately complete shipping and receiving paperwork, labels, and records.
Inspect Shipments: Verify orders for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards.
Communicate and Collaborate: Work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve shipping or inventory issues.
Ensure Safety and Compliance: Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
Safety First: Maintain and enforce strict safety practices to keep our team safe.
Other projects as needed
Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment holding self and others accountable to ASSA ABLOY standards.
Assure compliance with federal, provincial, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience you need:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
2+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role or within logistics, freight carriers, or warehouse operations.
Strong attention to detail: You can quickly and accurately verify shipments and inventory.
Basic computer skills: Comfortable with shipping software, ERP system, inventory systems, and tracking tools.
Problem-solving mindset: You think ahead and take initiative to prevent and resolve issues.
Previous experience safety operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools (training provided if needed).
Physical capability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a hands-on environment.
Forklift experience: Preferred but not required (training provided if needed).
Language skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work overtime as required
Compensation: $27.00 - $29.00 Hourly, depending on experience
