Under the supervision of the Factory Focus Manager, the role of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is to ensure that tasks and transactions related to the receipt and shipment of goods are carried out in accordance with the quality management system and customer satisfaction. You will actively participate in the continuous improvement of work processes and comply at all times with the safety, quality and productivity standards issued by the company. You will also perform any other related tasks that may fall within the scope of this job upon request.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Master shipping policies and processes. Plan the daily activities of receiving and shipping. Use the various computer systems to track orders. Work closely with customer service, production and the planner/buyer to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Ensure the verification and packing of the products to be shipped. Perform shipment-related transactions (scan serial numbers, print packing slips, customs documents, etc.) Contact selected carriers as required. Daily management of transport requests and issues Coordinate special shipments (show, manual shipments, etc.) Managing customs issues Education (minimum education required) Preferred Education (i.e. type of degree) Skills and Minimum Experience Required Master the policies and processes for receiving equipment. Inspect the products received according to the quality standards in force. Carry out inventory transactions relating to material receipts and returns of goods. Play a proactive role in improving the inspection methodology. Communicate and interact with carriers, as required. . Update the database following the move of inventory for production or internal requisitions. Keep the receiving/shipping section clean and organized. Preferred Skills and Experience Knowledge of inventory management systems (MRP) and Kanban methodology. Knowledge of Kaizen and 5S methodology. Knowledge of the Windows environment. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position. Ability to lift loads up to 25kg (55 lbs). Know how to operate a pallet truck and/or a freight elevator (forklift operator's card). Structured and organized. Teamwork and autonomy. Ability worked under pressure.
