We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented candidate with 3-5 years of relevant experience. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong leadership qualities and familiarity with import/export operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with domestic and international logistics and regulations. This position offers the potential for growth into a supervisory role for the right candidate. Duties/Responsibilities: + Shipping and Receiving Operations + Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods + Coordinate the preparation, packaging, and shipment of outgoing goods per the production schedule + Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipping and receiving records in accordance with company procedures and policies + Import/Export Compliance + Handle documentation for international shipments, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations + Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to resolve shipping issues/delays + Stay updated on international trade regulations and adapt processes as needed + Inventory Management + Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy + Assist in maintaining proper stock levels and report discrepancies + Process Improvement + Identify opportunities to streamline shipping and receiving processes + Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs + Leadership + Provide guidance and training to team members + Act as point of contact for the department in the absence of the supervisor + Demonstrate leadership by fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Requirements : + Experience + 3-5 years in shipping, receiving, or logistics + 1 year with import/export operations + Skills + Strong organizational and time-management skills + Proven leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and motivate others + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Proficiency with shipping software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite + Forklift experience preferred but not required + Physical + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment + Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays when necessary Career Growth Opportunity: This position is a steppingstone to a supervisory role – providing the opportunity to lead a team and take on greater responsibility in the company. Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Associates degree or equivalent experience and fluency with math is preferred. Compensation and Benefits: Optimax Systems offers highly competitive salary of $41,600 - $47,817.00/year based on experience, a comprehensive benefits package and a unique work environment.
