Purpose
The Shipping Specialist receives, stocks, packages, and ships parts to customers. This role must follow strict warehouse procedures to ensure that each part is properly located and to guarantee accurate inventory counts. The shipping specialist position reports to the Shipping Manager and is located in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
Role
Performs all receiving functions;Cycle count and maintain location/inventory checks;Maintain 100% stocking accuracy;Create and maintain parts identification program;Pull and package parts from various warehouse locations via printed picking lists;Create production orders to satisfy requirements;Communicate and coordinate with sales/buyers;Ensure that a requested kit is directed to the appropriate area;Prepare and package equipment to withstand the rigors of shipment via Truckload, LTL and small parcel;Prepare shipping documents BOLs, commercial invoices, SLIs etc.;Use the warehouse and shipping functions in SAP to perform daily duties;Other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED and/or ten (10)+ years of direct work experience without formal education;Position typically expects six (6) to ten (10) years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of position;Forklift operator experience;Must have UPS and FedEx experience;Ability to lift objects up to100 lbs.;Effective interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization;Must have a positive attitude and foster a continuous improvement environment;Committed team player;Ability to maintain and organize the facility’s equipment and materials to provide a neat, clean work environment;Adapts to changes, interruptions, disorders, and repetition without losing efficiency or composure;Must be able to perform daily in a high volume/high pressure receiving and shipping area;Ability to demonstrate proficiency with PCs.Piovan Group offers an outstanding compensation and benefits package including profit sharing, bonus plans, 401(k) with company match, medical insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, health club reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, employee assistance, and employee referral bonus program.
