KILL FLOOR B SHIFT SHOP FLOOR PANEL OPERATOR
General Description:
Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
1) Insure head count is accurate with computer data.
2) Enter weight cards into computer and tag carcasses.
3) Make sure carcasses are placed in the right lot area.
4) Insure all carcass information corrections are completed in a timely manner.
5) Weigh all carcasses that go through kill floor.
6) Make sure all actual cattle data is consistent with computer data.
7) Make sure split carcasses are not counted as triple-weights.
8) Check to make sure all cattle tag numbers are entered into the computer.
9) Answer calls and take messages in the office.
10) Report to USDA regarding carcasses placed along the vet rail.
11) Daily work tasks are fairly structured.
12) Weighing boxed finished product & labeling.
Qualifications:
Must be able to rotate from scale to scale in the slaughter department.A good knowledge of product codes and computers experience is required.Working Conditions:
Physical demands of this job are minimal, but daily tasks may cause stress.Hazards faced include chemicals, hooks and sharp objects.Work area is rather noisy with many slippery floors.Temperature in work area is very hot on a consistent basis.Employee will typically work 40-45 hours per week with overtime pay being paid out over 40 hours. Days worked will typically be M-F with some Saturday work if necessary.Hours are from 4-12:30 pm*******
