**Job Title: Shop Foreman** **Job Description** We are seeking a Shop Foreman to join our growing team in Freeport. As a reputable general contractor, we have been family-owned and operated since 1969. We have grown from a small team to one of the most respected general contractors in the state. While primarily a construction management company, we also perform small scopes of work on-site. The Shop Foreman will handle light preventive maintenance on scissor lifts and excavators, manage the delivery of equipment and tools to various sites, and occasionally perform light carpentry work such as building temporary handrails on site. **Responsibilities** + Perform light preventive maintenance on scissor lifts and excavators. + Manage the delivery of equipment and tools to various sites. + Occasionally perform light carpentry work, such as building temporary handrails on-site. + Supervise and oversee general shop operations. + Ensure the shop is organized and tools are readily available. + Handle mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks. + Utilize knowledge of construction tools and equipment. **Essential Skills** + Heavy equipment operation + Carpentry and rough carpentry skills + Attention to detail + Strong organizational skills + Mechanical experience + Preventive maintenance knowledge + Supervision and management skills + Knowledge of hydraulics + General labor skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in both mechanical and carpentry roles is ideal. + Open-mindedness and willingness to learn new tasks. **Why Work Here?** We pride ourselves on taking care of our people. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Freeport, Maine. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
