Shop Helper / 21/HR / Full-Time

Job Description:As a Shop Helper, you will be responsible for daily lifting of 5-gallon buckets of paint, pouring them into mixing machinery, and blending paints per customer orders. You will also be refilling paint containers, labeling them for shipment, receiving production from incoming trailers, pulling orders for will call, and assisting with loading and unloading of products as needed. General cleanup of the work area is also required.Responsibilities:Lift 5-gallon buckets of paint and pour into mixing machineryMix and blend paints per customer ordersRefill paint containers and label for shipmentReceive product from incoming trailers using forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and hand trucksPull orders for will call and palletize for shipping using paper order sheetsAssist with loading and unloading of products as neededMaintain general cleanliness of the work areaEssential Skills:Experience in production, general labor, and warehouse shippingAbility to lift 60 lbs. to shoulder height regularly throughout the dayComfortable working around strong paint fumes (masks and respirators provided as requested)High School Diploma or GEDAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and hand trucksAbility to mix and blend paints accuratelyWhy Work Here?This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable company that offers excellent opportunities for advancement and mobility.

Work Environment:The work environment is physically demanding and can be dirty, with the smell of paint fumes present (all within OSHA guidelines). Safety equipment such as masks and respirators are provided as requested.

Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
