Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Machine Operator to assist with the operation and maintenance of plastic extruder machines. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This role involves loading raw materials, monitoring the production process, performing quality checks, removing finished products, and maintaining a clean work area. The Machine Operator follows safety protocols and learns the skills necessary to eventually become a full-fledged extrusion operator, ensuring smooth and efficient production on the extrusion line.

Responsibilities:

Assist in setting up and operating plastic extruder machines.Help prepare work orders and ensure proper setup sequence.Monitor machine operations for defects or malfunctions.Measure and inspect finished products using tools like rulers, calipers, and micrometers.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas.Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.Maintain accurate records of jobs performed and materials used.Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean and safe work area.Load raw materials, monitor production, perform quality checks, and remove finished products.

Essential Skills:

High School Diploma or GED.Entry-level experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb platforms or ladders.Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $56160.00/yr.
