Job Description
Employees will start out in grinding, where they will hold a hand grinder to smooth out rough edges and polish the metal to a nice finish. They will also cross-train into basic fabrication where they will cut metal to length utilizing a tape measure, including brake press, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. Additionally, they will help out in other departments as needed, such as assembly, packaging, and paint.
ResponsibilitiesSmooth out rough edges and polish metal using a hand grinder.Cross-train in basic fabrication, including cutting metal to length.Operate brake press, perform spot welding, and buff metal.Assist in racking metal for paint.Support other departments such as assembly, packaging, and paint.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude through previous work experience, school, or hobbies.Experience with sheet metal and grinding.Ability to read and measure using a tape measure and understand basic math.Experience working with hand and power tools, welding, and fabrication.Additional Skills & Qualifications6 months of manufacturing experience.Experience reading a tape measure.Hand and power tool experience.Shop classes such as welding, automotive, woodworking, or machine/tool.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work takes place in a large manufacturing facility. The environment is fast-paced and can be somewhat physical, requiring self-motivation. There is no temperature control, so it can get hot in the summers. The facility is a smoke-free campus.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.84 - $19.84/hr.
