Job Description
We are looking for local mechanics to assist and repair our existing fleet of petroleum and gas trucks. This candidate will be utilizing hand and power tools daily, following repair and service procedures.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral repairs on propane and refined fuel trucks and transportsInspecting trucks and trailers to determine necessary service/repairsRepairing pumps, meters, valves, and piping systemsElectronic equipment troubleshooting and repairMeter calibrationsRepairing 12-volt systems and lightsWelding and tank repair is preferred, but not requiredEssential SkillsExperience in repair and serviceKnowledge of hydraulics and pneumaticsExpertise in brakes, suspensions, lights, and body workProficiency with hand and power toolsEngine troubleshooting and serviceElectrical troubleshootingInstallation and preventive maintenanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” gradations on a tape measureAbility to convert feet to inches and vice versaWelding experience is helpfulTool identificationExhibits good communication skills when working with fellow employeesAttention to detail and quality standardsUpholds company core valuesAbility to tolerate physical demands of the positionAbility to complete tasks according to planned scheduleWillingness to help out where neededMaintains a clean and organized work areaWhy Work Here?
You will have the potential to move into a lead or management role within a year, as many others have done the same. We offer a flexible shift starting between 6 AM and 7 AM and ending between 3 PM and 4 PM. Additional benefits include weekly paychecks, boot reimbursements up to $125, medical insurance covering 75% of premiums, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, and a 401K retirement account with a 5% company match.
Work Environment
The work environment is in a manufacturing setting where efforts are made to keep everything clean and organized. The offices have been recently remodeled. Work is all in the shop consistent with 4 truck bays.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
