Caterpillar currently has openings for Shop Technician I positions supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility. As a Shop Technician I at Caterpillar Inc., you will operate a variety of tools and equipment to assemble and disassemble out prime product. Caterpillar provides all tools and equipment to perform this job at no cost to the employee.
Compensation & Benefits Offered!
Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.73 (salary negotiations to be offered based on skills/experience)1st Shift Work Hours: 6AM - 4:30PMMonday - Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays$2,000 sign on bonus. Incumbent will receive first pay out after 90 days of employment and second payout after 180 days of employment.The payout of sign on bonus will be based on acceptable performance and attendance*40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)10 Paid holidays100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employmentHealth, dental, vision, & life insurance offered on day 1 of employmentPotential annual performance increaseClean/safe work environmentPaid holiday shut down at the end of the year (dependent upon business needs)Job Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Accurately utilizes data collection systemsEffectively performs basic assembly and disassembly operationsUse blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specificationsUse precision measuring devices to effectively assemble and/or disassemble final productAbility to effectively interpret blueprintsPerform preventive maintenanceAssist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processesPerform 5S AuditsPerform Safety Stop Audits observationsParticipate in the CI/PID ProcessAny duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shopFollow the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standard Work SheetsPeople Related Tasks and Responsibilities

Summary Pay Range:
