The Kelly Group is seeking a Shop Welder for its Lafayette, Indiana, facility. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience.\n

The essential functions of this position include:\n\nMIG welding of mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel\nSquaring up and welding of various geometries and components\nUnderstanding various weld form symbols on blueprints\nBoth vertical and horizontal welding\nThorough understanding of setup techniques\nAbility to read prints and understand weld symbols\nCapable of setup, layout and tack up of various metals\nAbility to tack up structures to high tolerance and weld out to exact tolerances\nAbility to meet safety standards in appropriate rigging procedures\nAbility to move parts throughout fabrication facility\n\n

Other preferred qualifications sought include:\n\nIndustrial construction experience or related experience\/training\n\n
