Shopify Developer – Standard JD Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Shopify Developer with 4-5 years of comprehensive experience in developing, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify stores. This role requires a deep understanding of both frontend and backend aspects of the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate will be proficient in customizing Shopify functionalities, integrating payment gateways, and deploying third-party plugins to enhance user experiences and streamline operations. Key Responsibilities: + Develop, customize, and manage comprehensive Shopify stores that meet business requirements. + Implement robust front-end designs and functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. + Build and maintain scalable backend solutions on Shopify, including application integrations and API connections. + Create bespoke Shopify themes and change pre-existing templates per pre-defined brand guidelines. + Expertly handle Shopify Payments setup, configuration, and optimization to ensure seamless payment transactions. + Integrate multiple payment gateways and ensure compliance with financial and data security regulations. + Develop and implement third-party Shopify plugins and ensure compatibility with existing systems. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement marketplace integrations that expand business reach and functionality. + Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal functionality and user experience. Relevant Experience & Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. + 4-5 years of professional experience in Shopify platform development, including significant exposure to both frontend and backend aspects. + Profound knowledge of Shopify's architecture, including Liquid templating, Shopify APIs, Admin Functions and its customization capabilities. + Strong experience with Shopify Payments and various payment gateways integration. + Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ES2015/ES6 and responsive design practices. + Experienced in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive unit tests for the developed functionality. + Experienced with third-party Shopify plugins and marketplace integrations. + Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. + Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. + Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
