The Opportunity

Abbott Nutrition has an opportunity for a Shopper Marketing Manager - Amazon based out of one of Abbott Nutrition’s offices including Columbus, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, or Bentonville/Rogers. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. This person’s primary responsibility is to develop and execute digital marketing solutions with Amazon.com and Amazon Fresh customers that align to with overall business goals and marketing/communication strategies of each business unit. This individual will partner with the Amazon Sales, Category Managers, Shopper Insights teams, Brand Marketing teams, and Third-Party Agencies, among others, to develop and deliver integrated business plans and ensure Abbott brands lead in all aspects along the digital path to purchase.  This individual will ensure strategic alignment between our consumers and Abbott Brands through Amazon.

What You’ll Work On

Develop and recommend strategic digital marketing plans: 

Partner with Sales to define objectives for responsible brands including Ensure, Glucerna, Protality, Juven, and Nepro for Amazon.com & Amazon FreshLeverage and work with the Brand teams to understand brand objectives, strategies and consumer insights ensuring consistent messaging and brand representationAlign Customer and Brand strategies/objectives to identify key business opportunities, develop recommendations, and implement business-specific programs that support driving profitable growthLead strategic planning for respective brands on Amazon and Amazon Fresh

Lead and develop solutions tied to each of the key drivers in the eComm path to purchase:

Display and Search Advertising: Develop strategies to win paid and organic search through partnerships with Sales, Brand and Agencies to drive awareness, retention and conversion; Advise on Display media integration with the Sales teamContent: Ensure product content is compliant with basic and enhanced standards including above and below the fold the content for our products on Amazon.com and Amazon FreshAmazon Brand Stores: Work with cross-functional partners to optimize Amazon Brand stores for each Brand and ensure content is up to date and best in class for product/brand exploration and landing page for offsite Display advertisingDigital programs: Work with cross-functional partners and agencies to deliver against the 4Ps in eCommerce, generating multi-item/category solutions. Develop strategies and execute programs in support of tentpole events, strategic customer programs, and new item launchesCRM Integration: Leverage Abbott and Amazon CRM assets to drive consumer retention through Amazon

Customer Management:

Develop and cultivate relationships with Amazon Advertising and Agency partnersIdentify opportunities for Abbott and the Amazon customer based on a strong understanding of their strategies, consumers, and program opportunitiesPresent digital marketing plans, program opportunities, shopper insights, latest industry research and best practices to Amazon and Brand teams for their input, support and alignment

Agency and Budget 

Develop creative briefs for Amazon Search, Display and Brand Stores, and manage the process through implementation  with our Agency partners for all Abbott brands for Amazon.com & FreshManage annual budget and monthly reconciliation process for respective owned-brands for Amazon.com & FreshTrack and analyze program effectiveness and ROI of programs

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required with 5+ years in a digital/shopper marketing (client side or agency) in CPG industrySpecific customer knowledge of Amazon/eComm requiredKnowledge of Brand Management, Sales and Retail MarketingDemonstrates strong leadership and communication skillsAbility to present and influence others, including Abbott and Customer leadersUnderstanding of Consumer, using analytical skills and insights Budget Management

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
