We are looking for an experienced Shotfirer to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Cowal (West Wyalong), NSW operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.

Both full-time and casual positions available. DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift only.

 Key Responsibilities:

Support senior shotfirer with blasting activities. Follow Load and tie in plans. Explosive vehicle and magazine inspections. Handling explosives and ensuring safety. Cleaning and securing blast areas. Reporting incidents and completing documentation. Spotting MMU & Stemming loader on blast pattern.

The successful applicant will have:

Previous experience in a shotfirer role. Blasting Explosives User License (NSW).or Equivalent Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment. A valid Driver’s License (manual). Security Clearance

Desirables

HR Class Drivers License. Electronic blasting knowledge
