In this role, you will be instrumental in achieving our strategic objectives by using analytics. Working collaboratively with team members across Micron’s global sites, you will contribute to our profitability goals and future cost reduction aspirations. You will also lead cross-functional initiatives across category teams, developing and implementing actionable insights that empower the category team to meet business objectives. This position offers an exciting chance to create a significant impact on our global operations and strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:Be functional expert(Semicon Material, Interconnect, Mechanical, etc) to be able to provide training & coaching to related CSM on the specific categories’ should cost analysis.Work closely w/ related CSM using the McKinsey Cleansheet system to do the should cost model creation, related data gathering & validation, and should cost vs. current price gap analysis & the identify the continuous cost improvement opportunity.Work W/ related should cost champion to quarterly evaluate, validate should cost w/ the CSM. Report the should cost related KPI including saving opportunity, should cost coverage/adherence rate etc. Continuously work w/ CSM & SMAI team to apply process enhancement & automation for the should cost related activities.Support Design for Cost efforts between Sourcing, Engineering and Business units;RequirementsFamiliar w/ the product cost analysis including identifying the cost structure, investigate the cost element and continuously explore cost improvement opportunities.Deep knowledge on the related commodities’ operation process, raw material price and market situation.Fluent oral & written English is a mustExperience of the McKinsey Cleansheet system or similar cost analysis system is a plus.Operation/Engineering background is plus.About Micron Technology, Inc.
