Showroom Manager
Description We are in the process of recruiting a Showroom Manager to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Showroom Manager, you will be in charge of overseeing the overall operations of the showroom, including managing staff, liaising with manufacturers, and driving local consumer awareness. You will also be tasked with ensuring that our showroom delivers exceptional customer experiences. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee the operations of the showroom, ensuring efficient merchandising, marketing, and operational practices. • Manage showroom staff, providing oversight for recruitment, training, communication, performance, and issue resolution. • Foster relationships with manufacturers, coordinating visits for product launches and training, as well as events in association with all departments. • Drive local market awareness, engaging with local design communities to increase consumer awareness. • Provide key data for showroom planning, including foot traffic, customer feedback, sales trends, customer demographics, growth opportunities, design trends, and competitive analysis. • Ensure all showroom staff are informed of and comply with required reporting, safety guidelines, and general company policies and procedures. • Conduct regular meetings with showroom staff to review company information, processes, procedures, and assignments. • Foster a positive work environment, encouraging team building and collaboration. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proven experience as a Showroom Manager or similar role • Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant software tools • Ability to efficiently answer inbound calls and handle customer inquiries • Excellent design skills with a focus on interior design • Previous experience in managing a showroom is highly desirable • Strong team management skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team • Experience in training management and performance management • Expertise in brand management and category management • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Demonstrated ability in community outreach and building relationships • Experience in CRM - Customer Relationship Manager is a plus • Proven track record of planning and executing events successfully • Broad understanding of marketing principles and strategies • Experience in organizing off-site events is a plus • Knowledge of public relations and ability to build strong public image • Proven ability to devise and implement effective sales strategies • Experience in conducting and managing training programs • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
