Position: Shunt Driver / Shipping Helper
Location: Brantford 
Pay: $28.78/hr

Shift: Monday - Friday (Days)

Responsible to the Paper Mill Shipper Lead Hand/Mill Supervisor, the Shipper Helper is responsible for the safe and efficient performance of all duties, while controlling raw materials received and stock control.  All employees are mandated to create a zero-injury environment and engage actively in all areas of SPS.

Responsibilities:

Perform safe and efficient operation of a Lift truckAssist in loading and unloading of trucks and trailersAssist in shipping as directedBack up Lead Hand when requiredAccurate completion of all paperwork and data entryPlacement of product in warehouseUse computer programs to compile accurate information and/or reportsCoordinate changes/adjustments that will affect team member’s areas of responsibilityParticipate and adhere to safety culture and report unsafe conditionsMaintain good housekeeping standards

Requirements:

Possess a valid forklift operator’s licenseKnowledge of customer loading patterns on trailerComputer skills i.e., Microsoft Office programsGeneral math skillsRF Scanner experience would be an assetClass A-Z License would be desirableAbility to perform physical requirements of the jobAre 18 years of age or olderHave Grade 12 education or equivalent
