Job Description

Our Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transport of passengers between various locations within the airport premises. This position requires adherence to strict schedules, ensuring that passengers reach their destinations efficiently while maintaining a high standard of safety and comfort. The driver must also provide assistance with luggage and answer any passenger queries regarding airport facilities and services. Regular vehicle maintenance checks and coordination with the transport team to report any issues or delays are also key aspects of this role.

 

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A SHUTTLE BUS DRIVER

 

You like working as a team, toward a common goal Safely transport passengers between terminals, parking lots, and other airport locations Operate various types of shuttle buses and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner Adhere to all traffic and airport regulations while driving Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety Handle passenger luggage with care during loading and unloading Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle at all times Provide passengers with information about airport facilities and services Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues You have a great attention to detail You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks Strong customer service skills Like to build long term relationships with your customers Physical activity may include: Stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift 70 pounds or more Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum age of 18 years old Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement Clean driving record Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving Knowledge of airport layout and terminal locations Strong customer service skills Ability to assist passengers with luggage Flexible with shift hours, including nights and weekends Ability to pass a drug screen Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
