What will you do in this job?Uses company transportation assets to move guests and cargo in a safe, friendly and timely manner.
Drivers conduct and coordinate basic maintenance on company vehicles and maintain records in
accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation and company standards
Conduct pre and post operation maintenance on assigned vehicle daily. Annotate issues correctlyOperate shuttles along assigned routes, reporting changes or challenges to the coordinatorCoordinate and communicate with guest service, group coordination and marine staffs to ensure that
guests receive the best possible service and important information is shared throughout the companyMaintains records in accordance with company, state and DOT requirements regarding vehicle
maintenance, driver activities and traffic incidents
What skills and experience do you need for this job? Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsementKnowledge of Alaska and Seward history, geography, and standard attractions. Familiarity with the
Alaska Collection productsExcellent guest/customer service skills including speaking with guests, assisting them in solving their
problems, and dealing with angry or disappointed guests in a positive wayThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 poundsThe employee must be able to work in harsh weather conditions for long hours on a variable schedule2 year’s experience What will your work environment be like?
