Do you have experience as an electrician and a passion for keeping traffic flowing smoothly? In this position, you'll have the opportunity to maintain and repair traffic signal lights, streetlights, pedestrian crossings, radar speed signs, and all other components essential to the operation and upkeep of the lighting system. Perform traffic signal controller cabinet maintenance and cleaning.
Repair and replace vehicle detectors & pedestrian detectors.
Install, maintain & test video equipment used to monitor traffic and detect vehicles.
Perform and test traffic signal controllers.
Install, maintain, repair, and operate all types of school flashers, pedestrian crossing apparatus, illuminated and non-illuminated aerial signs, and various types of electronic equipment.
Test, services/repairs fiber optic and copper cable communication circuits.
Set up work zone traffic control (MOT/TTC).

Monday – Friday8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. On-Call RequiredAbout YouMinimum Qualifications:
A High school diploma or its equivalent.Two (2) years experience as an electrician or in a similar field.A Valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire.A "CDL" Class B license or the ability to obtain within six (6) months from the date of hire.Must be able to obtain an IMSA Signal Level I certification within one year of hire and IMSA Signal Level II within three (3) years of hire.Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything ElseStarting Pay: $23.54 (Step 4)
Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
