Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services. As an individual contributor in **Signal Management** , you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of the EPC response to capacity/demand signals from our downstream planning teams to ensure seamless and timely response and execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in datacenter project controls or program management functions. The role requires effective leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. **This role is located either in one or all hub locations: Atlanta, GA, Phoenix, AZ, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX, or Washington, DC.** Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. **Responsibilities** + Develop and oversee the implementation of a business process and ROB for supply planning EPC responses. + Manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure signals are vetted and the recommendations include input from all teams. + Monitor project risks and provide high level insights into metro planning and execution. + Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. + Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. + Develop metrics to support continuous improvement of process and response times + Work with partners to evaluate and assess project liability and recommend best course of action in a timely manner **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis + OR equivalent experience. + 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. + Experience working with partners to evaluate and assess project liability and recommend best course of action in a timely manner + Experience in planning medium-sized capital projects ($50MM - $200MM+) in construction, oil, gas or chemicals (or related process industry). This experience should specifically include engineering and procurement. **Other Requirements:** + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. + Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, technical program management, data analysis + OR equivalent experience. + Extensive experience as a planner and/or scheduler utilizing scheduling software (P6 or MS Project + Extensive experience in datacenter design and construction project management. + Proven track record of delivering large-scale datacenter construction projects on time and to the satisfaction of clients. + Effective understanding of Project Planning, Earned Value Management and Key Commodity Tracking. + Effective skills in project planning software, such as P6 and/or MS Project + Familiarity with Risk Schedule Analysis + Ability to analyze EPC plans/schedule and provide deep insights into trends, issues, mitigations + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. + Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work. Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
