Silicon Graphics Modeling Engineer
**Summary:** We are currently seeking a Graphics Modeling Engineer to support the development of a custom graphics pipeline optimized for AR/VR systems. As part of the Graphics Architecture and Systems team, you will help lead functional and performance modeling for the AR/VR graphics pipeline and work in close collaboration with the groups developing graphics IPs and pipeline for AR/VR devices. **Required Skills:** Silicon Graphics Modeling Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate closely with the graphics and system architecture teams to develop functional and performance models for AR/VR graphics pipeline 2. Lead power/performance modeling and analysis of graphics pipeline components, features and use cases 3. Support all phases of Silicon SoC development from a graphics pipeline modeling perspective - from early definition on through specification, architecture and productization 4. Contribute to execution of our silicon technology/graphics roadmap to make beyond state-of-the-art advances in performance, power consumption and form factor 5. Work across disciplines, build new methodologies, juggle/coordinate multiple initiatives **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 7. 5+ years of experience in IP/SoC/System functional or performance modeling including model implementation, validation and/or correlation 8. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technical field 9. Experience with hardware modeling 10. Understanding of SoC and System architecture and heterogeneous compute principles 11. Experience with programming languages (C/C++ and Python-or similar), script automation and data visualization 12. Experience evaluating architectural trade-offs in performance, power and image quality 13. Experience employing scientific methods to debug, diagnose and drive the resolution of complex, cross-disciplinary system issues **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 14. Experience with GPU hardware architectures or graphics pipelines 15. Experience with building or modifying full-system performance simulators 16. Experience with collecting and interpreting performance counters using GPU/CPU profilers 17. Experience in graphics workload development with Unity or Unreal game engines 18. Experience with thermally constrained power/performance optimization in mobile devices 19.
