Summary of Role:
​We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Architect / Senior System Architect to join our team and work on the cutting-edge silicon photonics 45CLO platform. This role involves architecting / designing and developing advanced silicon photonics solutions for data center applications, focusing on high-speed, low-power optical interconnects.
 

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead the architectural design and development of silicon photonics solutions for data center applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and sales, to ensure the successful implementation of silicon photonics technologies.

Develop and document system architecture specifications, including performance, power, and area (PPA) trade-offs.

Conduct workload analysis, modeling, and simulation to drive architectural decisions and optimize system performance.

Definition and ownership of reliability specification and measurement protocol for silicon photonic wafer and photonic engine/module packaged solutions

Engage with customers to understand their deployment needs and ensure that the products meet their requirements.

In collaboration with the SiPh Product Line, create and publish hardware IP roadmaps aligned with technology capabilities and industry trends.

Mentor and support junior architects and engineers in the team.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
 

Required Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field

5+ years of experience in silicon photonics design and development

Strong understanding of system architecture specifications, including performance, power, and area (PPA) trade-offs.

Knowledge of reliability specification and measurement protocols for silicon photonic solutions.
