You Are:

UST is searching for a Silicon Solution Hardware Technician who will conduct root cause analysis and bug advocacy in Semiconductor Products, tracking activities to closure with very minimal supervision.

 

The opportunity:

·       Set up x86 and NVIDIA SoC platforms for electrical and functional validation.

·       Set up thermal solutions, debugger, oscilloscopes, and power measurement equipments.

·       Execute test plan on engineering systems that involve stress testing, functional testing, power measurements, etc.

·       Independently manage a group of systems to ensure stability and uninterrupted operation.

·       Assist in debug of basic PCB, chip, and network issues; document observations and report result to help resolve issues. Basic scripting that includes modifying existing automation scripts where applicable

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Familiarity with assembly and testing X86/GPU based systems.

·       Familiarity in executing tests under Windows and Linux environment.

·       Basic knowledge on scripting and MS Excel.

·       Understanding of test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, DAQ and DMM

·       Experience in silicon testing environment is preferred.

·       Diploma/B.E. with 3 years of experience in system level HW testing

·       5+ Years of experience.

 

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location:   California

Compensation Range:    $44,000-$66,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
