While doing this, we consistently strive for excellence to deliver growth and yield results that ensure a sustainable forest for the Grande Prairie area. *Key Functions: * * Developing and implementing silviculture treatment strategies * Supervising contractors in planting, site preparation, stand tending, and surveys * Participating in the annual budgeting process for the silviculture program and the annual Forestry Accrual Rate * Working with internal and external researchers to develop new silviculture practices * Building and maintaining positive working relationships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, stakeholders, and the general public * Silviculture recordkeeping and submission to government * Actively participating in safety and environmental systems management * Engaging in developmental training opportunities to gain exposure to all aspects of our business * Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RPFT) or eligible for registration * Sense of curiosity * Proactive safety leader with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a team or individually * Capability to prioritize work activities and assignments * Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments * Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite *About Timberlands* We believe trees are a remarkable resource that can and should be managed responsibly to make a range of products that meet human needs, while also providing recreation, wildlife habitat, and other important ecosystem benefits. We want you to choose us. * *What We Offer:* Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $83,400 - $120,100 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
