Simulation-Based Education & Research Instructor Coordinator
Overview The SBER Instructor Coordinator will serve as the Training Center Coordinator for American Heart Association (AHA) programs, instructing, mentoring, overseeing, and coordinating life support training initiatives and simulation-based education. Responsibilities * Oversee the coordination and administration of AHA life support programs, ensuring compliance with guidelines and standards. * Develop and implement innovative simulation-based education programs to enhance clinical skills and improve patient outcomes. * Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to align simulation programs with organizational goals. * Serve as the primary point of contact for the AHA Training Center, maintaining accreditation and ensuring adherence to AHA policies and procedures. * Facilitate instructor training and certification programs, fostering a community of skilled life support instructors. * Design, update, and enhance simulation-based training curricula to reflect the latest advancements in medical knowledge and technology. * Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop evidence-based content for life support programs. * Provide mentorship and support to life support instructors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. * Conduct regular evaluations of instructors to ensure high-quality training delivery. * Collaborate with the research team to design and implement studies evaluating the effectiveness of simulation-based education on clinical outcomes. * Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in simulation-based education and contribute to the advancement of educational research. * Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications * Demonstrated leadership success or capability through previous direct supervisory experience preferred. * Maintains current skills in effective training methods. * Completion of Life Support Training Programs and TCF orientation course with successful monitoring by Life Support Training Programs * Manager/Coordinator required. * Must be motivated to teach, to continuously learn, and to facilitate learning and ensure that students acquire the skills necessary to successful course completion. * Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. * The ability to work effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy required. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Instructor certification in other identified life support programs desired.
