Simulation Program Coordinator / Educational Program Coordinator II
Working/Functional Title Simulation Program Coordinator Position Summary The Learning and Assessment Center (LAC), serving the four healthcare professional colleges (COM, CHM, CON and CVM), is seeking a innovative and collaborative member to join our team in the role of Simulation Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will coordinate and facilitate multiple internal and external programs focused on supporting the evolving needs of LAC stakeholders. Roles and responsibilities include: Coordinate external programs for multiple populations of learners; present/facilitate various training programs; manage schedules for temp/on-call employees. Coordinate, implement a variety of healthcare professional programs including Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support programs. Collect data in order to evaluate programs and generate reports. Participate in marketing and publicity for external and professional development program; uploads program information to website and social media platforms. Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve implementation of programs in addition to development of policy and procedure documents. Minimum Requirements Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Educational Theory and Methodology and/or a specialization in the designated area of expertise; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in planning and overseeing seminars and conferences including public relations, organizing and disseminating training materials and information both written and web-based; budget and records maintenance and computer support; experience in supervision, database, spreadsheet, word processing, desktop publishing, knowledge of HTML programming and web site development and management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Qualifications + Advanced Cardiac Life Support and/or Pediatric Life Support certification and/or AHA instructor certification(s) + Experience planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and customizing clinical education programs + Experience marketing programs including use of social networking venues + Knowledge of educational theory, principles and methods of adult education + Experience with instructional technologies such as high fidelity simulators + Working knowledge of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Improvement processes Equal Employment Opportunity Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability or protected veteran status.
