Responsibilities
Assists the Simulation Center with activities surrounding pre and post simulation events, running all the simulation related equipment, performing routine maintenance on all Simulation Center equipment, assisting with data collection and documentation, troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with inventory management and supporting activities as assigned to maintain quality and effective simulations.
This supplemental position offers shifts based on business need. Shifts are typically during weekday working hours though occasional early morning, evening, or weekend shifts may be offered.
During the selection process, you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question - Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member, and you will be notified of next steps.
Qualifications
Requires an associate’s degree or higher with at least one year of experience or HS diploma with at least three years of experience. CHSOS certification could be in lieu of a AS degree. Prefer one year experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Prior experience as a Simulation Technologist, Simulation Technician, Simulation Operator, Simulation Operations Specialist, or other experience running medical simulations are preferred.
Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: (Has Achieved Competency in the Following Areas, Job Knowledge and Additional Considerations):
Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility in work hours that includes off hours and weekends to support Simulation Center programs/courses. Demonstrates good judgement and critical thinking skills when handling a variety of procedural and technical tasks with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. CHSOS certification preferred within 2 years of employment.
