Simulator Technician I

About This Role

                                                                                                         

Summary:
The Simulator Technician will be responsible for maintaining and preparing flight training simulators to meet FAA/EASA/CAAC regulations and CAI’s Excellence standards. This position will also ensure that the simulation environment closely replicates aircraft operations as well as support instructors in conducting effective training.

Responsibilities:

•Maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade Flight Training Devices (FTDs) according to manufacturer specifications and internal procedures.Perform scheduled maintenance activities on all FTD hardware and software components including:○ Aircraft Control Systems (Hydraulic, Electrical, Mechanical)Avionics EquipmentCockpit Panels and InstrumentationVisual System (Outside World, Glass Panel Displays, Projectors, etc.)Sound SystemRecording & Playback SystemComputer systemsConduct periodic checks of FTD cockpit components against aircraft documentation to ensure configuration accuracy.Provide technical assistance to instructors in developing and delivering training programs.Ensure the proper operation of the FTD by performing pre-flight checks and addressing any issues or discrepancies.Monitor the performance of FTD devices during training sessions and make necessary adjustments.Collaborate with other departments to enhance the realism of the simulation environment.


Qualifications:

Two years of experience working with aviation simulation equipment.Experience in aircraft maintenance or avionics preferred.Ability to comprehend complex technical manuals, schematics, and procedures.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective communication abilities both verbally and written.Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Flexible work schedule; willing to work nights and weekends when needed.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
