Simulator Technician III Location: Gowen Field, ID Job Description: The Simulator Technician III leads complex diagnostics, repairs, and configuration management of GMDT systems. This role supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while also mentoring junior technicians. The Technician III ensures all devices meet CPF thresholds and are documented in compliance with ISTS and applicable Army regulations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair of simulator hardware/software faults Manage maintenance logs, fault isolation reports, and configuration baselines Load software scenarios and conduct validation testing Coordinate with site leads and union leadership on maintenance scheduling Train and guide lower-level technicians in compliance with procedures and safety standards Ensure accuracy and timeliness of ISTS entries and maintenance documentation Interface with Vertex and government leads to support readiness reporting Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience maintaining complex military simulation systems Strong understanding of Army maintenance forms and electronic records (DA 2408 series, ISTS) Ability to interpret system schematics, tech orders, and TPMs Must meet union/CBA requirements for Technician III classification Supervisory or lead technician experience preferred
