Job DescriptionZ Modular is at the forefront of revolutionizing multi-family construction through innovative modular projects. We are seeking a dedicated Site Architect or Site Architectural Designer to shape the future of design and construction. Reporting to the Director of Architecture and Design, the selected candidate will lead the development of design and technical documentation and will travel frequently to various job sites in Texas and Arizona. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated, with extensive experience in architectural design and a deep understanding of building systems and codes. Architectural Designers without a license are encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architectural design professional responsible for developing design and shop drawing documentation using REVIT, AutoCAD, and related BIM software.Lead and direct a team of architectural designers and drafters in producing detailed documentation.Develop technical details with a deep understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.Collaborate with manufacturing and site teams to ensure building methods comply with code, accessibility, and weatherproofing requirements.Frequent travel to multiple job sites in Texas and Arizona required.Foster a collaborative team environment.Work under the direction of the Director of Architecture + Design.QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of relevant experience in an architectural role, CAD Technician, or Job Captain capacity.Proficiency in mid-range REVIT.Architectural licensure preferred, but not required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.Outstanding organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple assignments concurrently.Knowledge of CAD/BIM best practices and commitment to staying updated on software advancements.PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Remain in stationary position for the majority of the day. Occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.Ability to lift up to 10lbsAbility to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
