Job Overview
BGIS is looking for a reliable and hands-on Handyperson/Site Attendant to join our team at Norwest Hospital. You’ll be responsible for carrying out general maintenance tasks like plumbing, painting, carpentry, and more. You’ll work with the Facilities team to ensure everything is running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, tiling, air conditioning, carpentry, and repairs. Work with the Facilities Managers and Supervisors to complete tasks efficiently. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures. Help with maintenance planning and record keeping. Respond to helpdesk calls and help complete maintenance requests. Conduct inspections and tests as required. Assist with larger maintenance projects when needed.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in building maintenance (plumbing, painting, carpentry, general repairs). Good communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High School Certificate or equivalent. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations. Previous experience in facilities or building maintenance. Relevant trade qualifications (plumbing, carpentry, etc.). EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Ticket. Experience with safety and environmental systems.
