Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in site/civil drainage experience along with knowledge of surface water hydrology and collection systems out of our Rocky Hill, Connecticut office.
What you’ll do:
Successful candidates will have 5 to 10 years of experience and have a solid understanding of surface water hydrology and drainage system hydraulics, as well as site design that will including grading, retention systems, low-impact development strategies, and resilient infrastructure Strong experience in HydroCAD, and/or Hydraflow Hydrographs/Storm Sewers is a plusExperience in working with municipal clients and the ability to effectively communicate and present complex information in a public settingMust be willing to collaborate remotely with coworkers in other locationsWhat you will bring:
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar degree is requiredMS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or similar degree is a plusConnecticut licensed Professional Engineer, or ability to pass exam within the first year of employment is preferredExperience in the field with oversite of construction is a plusExperience modeling and designing stormwater BMPs/green infrastructure on LID projects is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational/time management skillsSome travel will be required to client meetings and project sites within New EnglandValid driver's license is requiredConfidence, enthusiasm, motivation, positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit to help us continue our growth in the Rocky Hill office#LI-Hybrid
