Overview:
Sylvan Learning is a leading provider of tutoring to students of all ages, grades and skill levels. Sylvan @ Schools brings our noteworthy programming to school campuses. Our school partnerships present an incredible opportunity to offer students an individualized, small group experience that students do not receive within their larger classroom setting.
Site Coordinators play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of on-campus programs. Site Coordinators may interact with school staff at various levels and may rotate as needed to cover school sites within your geographic area each day.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring all materials arrive to their assigned school sites and remain stocked. Lead session set up – direct teachers to their assigned classrooms, pass out materials, and gather students from the meeting area. Collect and record attendance and proficiency scores daily on designated platforms. Provide in-the-moment support to teaching staff and reinforce classroom expectations. Execute session wrap up – coordinate student dismissal and classroom clean up. Collaborate with Program Coordinators. Communicate general updates to Directors and escalate immediate issues as necessary. Demonstrate effective communication with staff, students, and parents.Compensation and Schedule:
$26/hour Part-time: 15-25 hours weekly in the afternoon/eveningWe Require
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Literature, Mathematics or related field preferred Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience preferred Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment of constant change Well organized and confident working independently but also a strong team player Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have reliable transportation Must obtain a TB clearance and complete livescan background check
