Job DescriptionAccountable for license to operate of the site from a law and regulation point of viewEstablishes a vision for the site and the development of a strategic plan in coordination with business and corporate objectivesDefines and realizes the manufacturing plan short term and long term and tracks performance with relevant KPI'sManages organization operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policiesAs a proprietor and holder of the partial permits, you are the direct point of contact for Chemelot Site Permit BV as an umbrella permit holderManages several operational, technical and EHS & compliance work processesCreates and fosters a work environment conducive to safe work conditions and high employee moraleImplements programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit with full accountability for P&LMaintains authority over budget and schedulingMeets compliance and reporting requirements and ensures completed work adheres to all local and national laws & regulationsDirects and oversees enforcement organization's personal and process safety programs and work safety standards to protect the environment, employees, and the company against harmAccountable for the overall manpower & resource planning (FTE ~30, direct reports 3), work climate, competence development and performance of the manufacturing team as well as career developmentConducts performance management of direct reportsDrives profitability through control and leveraging of manufacturing costs, inventory, cost of goods, procurement initiatives, and vendor relationships, and use of automationDrives continuous improvement and operational management processes through the implementation of operational excellence principlesLeads the long term and short-term asset planning, as well as execution of the annual capital planLeads and drives change processes and coordinates improvement projects / process changesDraws up, implements, audits and improves the safety (SEVESO) and quality (ISO 9001) management system (policies, procedures, etc.)Prepares and leads external audits & inspectionsLeads and drives sustainability initiativesSets up and maintains relationships with relevant external stakeholders (local authorities, neighbor plants, partners & suppliers, regional networks, etc.), as a point of contact for the Geleen Site.Acts as liaison with other functional groups and business teams within the wider organizations to represent the plantParticipates in Chemelot initiatives and reporting structuresParticipates in the Chemelot Emergency Response Team and leads the Aurorium Emergency Response Team on siteDrive and support leadership across all other functions if required, acting as the main works council contact, as a senior leader for Netherlands

The Successful Applicant

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or an advanced degree preferred



Experience

Proven managerial skillsMinimum of ten (10) years of management experience in production, plant maintenance, or engineeringExperienced in process safety and risk identification & evaluation techniques (HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, JSA, etc.)



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
