**Introduction**
The candidate should independently lead and manage Engineering function and Facility Service Partners across ISA (India & South Asia) including Energy Management, Sustainability Program, Risk Management, Facility Projects and support Design & Construction team for Projects in reviewing technical scope, design and review project execution.
**Your role and responsibilities**
Lead the technical engineering function for all critical infrastructure and technical locations throughout the portfolio. Provide direction and decision making to implement the technical engineering scope and SLAs across the geography. Total accountability for continuous operations of critical and essential technology (manufacturing, research and development) locations across the geography. Drive vendor performance against contractual SLAs and KPIs. Facilitate the development, prioritization and execution of a multi-year expense and capital investment plan for all technical infrastructure throughout the geography. Ensure the engineering teams conduct business in accordance with all applicable laws, codes, company and real estate policies, processes and contract terms. Hire, train and manage staff directly. Develop high performing teams, growing talent, skills, capabilities and succession planning. Provide direction, set goals and objectives to ensure all the regions manage consistently and deliver engineering services and client support. Manage distribution of workload and establish and review performance metrics for the team, service providers and vendors. Scenario and contingency planning, preparation and development of emergency response and disaster recovery plans for all critical revenue producing technical locations. Authorized to obligate the company for capital of X and expense of Y. Continuous assessment of operational, reputational and financial risk and development of contingency plans to mitigate and eliminate such risks across the geography. Ensure protocols are in place and readily tested to ensure the health and safety of our employees, assets and operations. Identify opportunities to leverage innovations in technology that will deliver lower cost, higher revenue, improved employee experiences, sustained health and safety of our employees and mitigation operational risk. Partner and direct interface with the GRE environment and energy leads developing cohesive strategies for our key critical technical portfolio to align with IBM Sustainability goals. Work closely with APAC FM team to support technical initiatives and lend technical expertise and guide the team for execution of programs. Support D&C project team with due diligence, technical design advisory, review of technical drawings and execution of projects as per design.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
The candidate should possess a Bachelor's in Engineering Degree with minimum 12-15 years of experience in Facility Engineering Operations including Design & Construction and preferred certifications in LEED / WELL / Energy Management and Risk Management.
