Site HR Head - Dahej
**Objectives:** + Responsible & Accountable for HR & IR/ER function of Multi-OD Site – Dahej + Responsible for Employee Relations for Site + Responsible for Contract Labour Management and Third-Party Employees + Responsible for Statutory Compliance related Labor Laws + HR Business partnering for ASI Dahej Site + Responsible for good rapport with all the stakeholders like nearby Community, Liaison with various Statutory Authorities for approvals for investment & ensure compliance under the Labour Statutes as applicable + Relationship with Government Authority, Employees & Opinion makers for flawless working of Site **M** **ain** **Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:** 1. Responsible for HR &ER / IR functions & development of policies & Systems / procedures for Multi OD Site - Dahej 2. Responsible for Employee Relations 3. Responsible for Contract Labour Management and Third-Party Employees – Developing SOPs/ Guideline /Statutory Compliance, Audits etc 4. Responsible for Statutory Compliance related Labor Laws 5. HR Business partnering for ASI Dahej 6. Responsible for Relations building and Establish discipline at Dahej 7. Establish good rapport with all the stakeholders like nearby Community, Liaison with various Statutory Authorities for approvals for investment & ensure compliance under the Labour Statutes as applicable to Dahej Site. 8. Relationship with Government Authority, Employees & Opinion makers for flawless working 9. Liaison with various Statutory Authorities for approvals for investment & ensure compliance under the Statutes as applicable to c. 10. People Management: Manpower planning, recruitment, identify and develop personnel through training and development. Develop and implement career, succession planning & retention strategy. Also, to ensure optimum utilization of manpower. 11. Support Site Management and actively represent / support objectives and interests of the Sites, both internally and externally. 12. Facilitating and guiding to Site Director (s) and department heads for development of leadership & people engagement, Integrated Organization, Systems & Processes and actions 13. Development of people including career growth and succession planning etc, 14. Contribute to development of best manufacturing/business practices in line with BASF corporate guidelines. 15. Strategy Development and Implementation: Contribute to the development & implementation of Regional strategy for the site. Monitor develop & implement the strategy in collaboration with the corporate office & the Region. 16. Ensure outsourcing of non-core functions ensuring total compliance of statutory provisions as applicable & adopt new technology for labour Management and statutory compliance + **Leadership:** 1. Lead ER Functions 2. Lead labour law related Statutory Compliance for BASF in India 3. Provide leadership for HR Business Partnering for ASI Dahej 4. Provider Leadership for Guidelines, SOP etc for Contract Labour and Third-party employees 5. Identify and develop potential candidates for succession plan at Multi OD Site – Dahej 6. Provide operational and local leadership including target agreement and performance appraisal & give input on local personnel development and retention strategies for staff members. 7. Translate business strategy into local personnel development planning. 8. Actively demonstrate commitment to BASF Values and Principles and demonstrate commitment to local and regional code of conduct & inculcate work practice as per vision and culture of BASF + **Operational:** 1. Define the Job description, Role, Responsibilities & Authorities, and Job Profiles of the personnel in the Organization. 2. Responsible for hiring suitable contractors for non-core functions and ensure development of their skill, timely payment of salary and wages to all Contractor’s employees by providing the necessary advice to the Contractors. 3. Responsible for Lesioning with Government authorities for renewal of manufacturing licenses such as DISH, Labour Department, District Collectorate, Department of Industries (DIC), GIDC, annual performance certificate from DDA and other government licenses, as applicable. 4. Responsible for attending to disputes, Court cases, if any. 5. Administration of employee welfare facilities at Dahej 6. Administration of OHC and support SOHP to drive & implement OH/IH initiatives 7. Managing the internal and external environment to maintain harmonious industrial relations and cordial external environment. 8. Plan/develop Community development programs in the areas of education, health & cultural activities for the benefit of local community in line with the BASF’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects. + **RCMS Responsibility:** 1. Ensure that each employee is trained in the RC requirements of his job. Ensure that RC training is planned, arranged, executed, reviewed and recorded. 2. Ensure that employees have a safe working environment including the correct protective clothing, equipment and materials. 3. Audit and monitor safety conditions and performance in their departments. 4. Investigate all accidents, incidents or near misses in accordance with Accident Investigation procedure 5. Performs the role as defined in On-site emergency plan to mitigate the emergencies.
