Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Position Summary: Provide support in all areas of Human Resources, i.e. recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, training, database administration, and special projects. This role also includes a HSE function that provides support to all plant staff to ensure a safe workspace that complies with Forvia rules and governmental regulations related to Health, Safety & Environmental activities. 

Responsibilities:
•    Coordinate and assists management in all staffing and recruiting activities, search firms, university relations, and advertising.
•    Prepare and send offer letters.
•    Manage immigration process for employees, with support of Auburn Hills HR
•    Maintain record keeping within Forvia standards.
•    Counsel management on Federal and State Employment law.
•    Ensure associate information in HRIS systems is accurate and up to date.
•    Answer employee queries related to payroll and other HR related matters.
•    Manage HR reporting tasks: monthly headcount reporting, Key Performance Indicators, budget, and forecast.
•    Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, and/or meetings.
•    Function as the HR deputy for all programs based on the requirements of the Faurecia Program Management System.
•    Implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, and/or meetings
•    Support benefits administration
•    Management, development, and mentorship of HR interns.
•    Supervise first aid and local medical care procedures.
•    Manage return to work and adherence of safety protocols.
•    Use available media to communicate safety and environmental policies and to coach or support the site employees.
•    Support the reporting of legal, insurance and other HSE indicators (e.g. lost time (FR0t), medical treatment (FR1t), first aid and Near Miss, Audit results, environmental data, etc.).
•    Coordinate emergency actions and carry out initial accident enquiries.
•    Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
•    Conform to requirements established in Fraser Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
•    Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant EMS requirements.
•    Support environmental programs to achieve objectives and targets.
•    Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
•    Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
•    Commitment to the highest ethical standards and adherence to:
o    Faurecia Group Code of Ethics 
o    Faurecia Group Code of Management
o    Faurecia Group Environmental Policy
o    Faurecia Group Quality Policy
•    All other duties as assigned by the company
 

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Knowledge / Skills:
•    Extensive computer knowledge required
•    Fundamental knowledge of employment laws, benefits and compensation, and Health, Safety and Environment is required
•    Excellent organizational skills required
•    Service-oriented communication skills are highly recommended
•    Mediation skills are desired
•    Position demands a high level of assertiveness
•    Sensitive treatment of confidential information is required

Education / Experience:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field 
•    3 to 8 years of Human Resources experience 
•    Experience in a plant or in an industrial environment
