About the Business Operations TeamThe Business Operations Team is responsible for enabling Zipline’s Platform 2 (P2) Launch and Scale efforts including its infrastructure, including towers and docks, to support seamless drone operations. We collaborate with internal teams, landlords, and external partners to ensure efficient deployment and scalability of our P2 offering. Our work directly impacts Zipline’s ability to bring instant logistics to new locations, scaling the system to serve millions of customers globally.

About The RoleAs a Site Infrastructure Launch Intern, you will play a key role in optimizing how Zipline collaborates with property owners to install our P2 infrastructure systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Go-To-Market (GTM), Customer Success, and New Deployments, to refine engagement approaches and draft frameworks for infrastructure deployment. This is a unique opportunity to learn about infrastructure planning, operational strategy, and landlord engagement while making a meaningful impact on Zipline’s future operations.
What You'll Do Assist in developing a high-level deployment framework with defined steps, timelines, and roles. Work cross-functionally to source potential landlords. Collaborate with the team to refine pitch materials and landlord engagement approaches. Identify and address operational gaps in site infrastructure deployment readiness. Contribute to the creation of a preliminary deployment plan, outlining key roles, responsibilities, and dependencies. Analyze critical operational dependencies for scaling the landlord-driven approach. Evaluate and document the key requirements for growing this program at scale. What You'll Bring Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Interest in project management, infrastructure deployment, or operational strategy. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Proactive and eager to take ownership of meaningful projects. Ability to work onsite in South San Francisco for the duration of the internship. Else You Need to KnowOur internships are full-time positions, in-person at our South San Francisco office. We will host our Summer 2025 interns from May to August.
The starting cash range for this role is $32 - 36 / hour. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include: overtime pay; commuter benefits; paid sick time; and more.
