Site Inspection Manager

What this job involves Site Inspector will be the person responsible for inspecting railroad property leases thought the United States - 26 states and 2 Canadian Provinces. This person will need to be very organized and detailed ordinated. The Inspector will perform detailed inspections, with photos, of active leased areas. The Inspector will then provide their findings to the team and will assist, as needed, to resolve any violations.   

Inspect entire leased areas to ensure lessee is in compliant with the current active agreements.  

Confirm that land usage complies with current exhibit on file 

Inspect and rate the condition of all lessee’s improvements within the current leased area(s).   

Prepare trip packets which include copies of all exhibits, aerials, route map, inspection notices and the inspection upload report.  

Preform thorough review of each site prior to inspection. This includes reviewing agreements, exhibits, aerials, prior inspections, and the database for accuracy. 

Assist with database clean up, such as, latitude and longitude updates, attaching missing documents, mapping on GIS etc..  

Maintain accurate records to document inspections in database. 

Maintain site inspection inbox and inquires. 

Planning and preparing routes for inspections in the most cost and time efficient manner

Required  

 Strong ability to assess risks and make decisions 

Ability to communicate clearly and confidentially to all types of individuals from different types of cultural backgrounds. 

Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suites 

Basic knowledge on how to read exhibits and maps  

Basic knowledge of lease agreements and legal language  

Ability to drive for long period of time in one day 

Excellent time management skills  

Must be highly self-motivated

Job could be up to 80% travel
