Position SummaryThe Westminster, SC site is part of the Connect & Control Technologies value center and is home to several brands serving the industrial automation, oil and gas, automotive and motion control markets.

Summary:
Will have full responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain operations for our Westminster, SC Site with diversified product lines in a high mix low volume Focused Factory environment. Will drive key performance metrics centered on: safety, compliance, on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, value for price, profitability, operational excellence and effective use of technology. Will champion lean engagement and identify opportunities to increase manufacturing capacity while preserving overall flexibility, anticipating and responding to global market demands. Additionally, this key Business Leader, in collaboration with our leadership team, will drive the strategic agenda for Westminster’s growth and profitability as it relates to Production, Engineering, Program Management, Prototype Development, and Customer Service.

Champion manufacturing strategy, direction, and focus for Westminster, SC site.Develop and nurture an environment of teamwork, accountability and a sense of ownership.Establish a strong culture of World-Class Manufacturing to reduce product cost and lead times, increase throughput and improve qualityDrive LEAN process improvements, including Six Sigma, to improve and streamline processes and reduce wasteInteract with customers on design, quality, cost, and delivery issuesAccountability for P&L and overall operational metrics including inventory, safety, quality, on-time delivery and production costs for Westminster, SC siteAccountability for accurately forecasting, measuring, and reporting plant performanceChampion formulation of annual operating and capital budgetsWork to align the efforts of our global sales force with Westminster’s engineering, prototype development, manufacturing and customer service resources, enabling them to achieve revenue, market share and/or margin targets.Key Accountabilities

Position RequirementsRequirements:
Requires BS degree in Operations, Engineering, or relevant technical discipline. MBA highly desirable. Must have 10+ years progressively more responsible experience in manufacturing environment.Must have ability to manage orders, sales, operating income and cash flow; accurately and proactively communicate budgets, forecasts, outlooks, opportunity pipelines, potential gaps and remedies.

Significant participation in a company’s strategic planning process and preparation of departmental budgets and operating plansDemonstrated ability to develop, mentor, unify, and lead a plant business with diversified product linesAbility to work and lead in a matrixed environmentStrong working knowledge of Finance and Accounting due to P&L responsibility for this positionStrong skills in manufacturing management and orderly, disciplined safety and quality processes, with the emphasis being placed on timely delivery of quality products to customersLEAN Manufacturing principles, employing Kaizen and the 6S methodology with demonstrated successful applications.
