Salary: 112,150-168,220 - bonus component included

A member of the Victorville, CA site leadership team, the Site Logistics Manager is a strategic level position at a high-volume site providing multiple technologies to the Mars Petcare network and direct to customer.  This position has complete, end to end ownership and responsibility for the logistics organization at the site including inbound raws & packs, warehousing, OB logistics, yard management, and transportation.  Position requires excellent team building & management, working closely with supply leadership, scheduling, demand planning, commercial, RDC network, transportation providers, and other corporate functions to support network logistics goals and provide excellent service internally and to end customers.

What are we looking for?   

Minimum

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field AND/OR7+ years’ experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management3+ years experience managing peopleStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, negotiate, motivate and lead a team.Ability to lead multiple teams across different areas of operationEffectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization including the reporting and presentation of dataStrong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Flexibility to adapt to regularly changing priorities and quality issues

Preferred

Strong knowledge of SAP, JDA or Red Prairie WMS ,ISO, Quality Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety

What will be your key responsibilities?   

Develop and implement Supply Chain Strategies in line with company goalsIdentify and eliminate “supply chain” constraints to ensure maximum service levels are obtained.Coach and develop leaders and team members to successful results, including identifying training and development needs.Lead the execution of cultural changes and activities neededMaintain contingency plans for time sensitive operations (unscheduled absentees, customer issues, system malfunctions, inventory exceptions, supplier quality exceptions, fleet equipment issues, etc.).Develops and maintain root-cause/corrective action procedures including trend analysis resulting in driving process improvementsLiaison with internal and external partners to manage costs and maximize on time service metrics within the region.Manage portfolio of contracts and negotiate services level agreements. plan, coordinate, and supervise activities relating to major contractsDeliver small-scale or medium scale projects while working within an established program managmeent planAbility to collaborate with plant team to make sure goals are met

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.  Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
