About you and this role

As a Site Logistics Packager, you will be responsible for operating the packaging equipment, putting product into bags, and loading product onto trailers using a forklift.  The packaging operator will test product quality, conduct housekeeping, isolate energy sources to packaging equipment for maintenance, and issue safe work permits.

Responsibilities

Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areasOperate and field check process equipment. Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systemsPerform tasks assigned to operations as directed - including field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc.Ensure operational activities and process performance are aligned with plant and business goalsUse trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problemsAs required, initiate and participate in Root Cause InvestigationsCoach and train others on plant operationsUse process knowledge and skills to make improvements in plant performance and Operating DisciplineMonitor, collect and input plant metrics for Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.), asset utilization, conversion costs, and production yields and identify opportunities for plant optimizationUtilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to optimize plant operation and provide feedback on the effectiveness of the SPC toolsOther responsibilities may be assigned based on job role and departmentPerform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required6 or more months of Operations experienceCurrent, valid US driver's licenseWilling to adhere to all safety standards, including the smoke free and drug-free workplace policyAble to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including every second weekendAble to provide overtime coverage, as requiredWilling and able (medically approved) to participate in the fire brigadeAble to drive a forklift certifiedA minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Physical Requirements:

Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

Preferred Qualifications
