Job Description

Reporting into the Regional Manager, the Site Manager will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard. They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.

What you're responsible for: 

Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinatesOrganizing workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasksMonitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coachingMaintaining timekeeping and personnel recordsSharing information from upper management to employees and vice versaPreparing and submit performance reportsEnsuring adherence to legal and company policies and proceduresUndertaking disciplinary actions if the need arisesLeading by example as a hands-on manager

QualificationsProven experience as supervisor will be considered an assetExperience in metal scrap industry will be considered an assetKnowledge of different commercial trucks and forkliftsAbility to learn a variety of job descriptionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOutstanding organizational and leadership skillsGood knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS ExcelAlways strives for excellence and constant improvement

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM’s Health and Safety policies and proceduresResponsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management
